Why we publish our operating numbers (and which ones we leave out)
Dapols now has a public /live page: tools tracked, price checks, price changes caught, model releases and benchmark captures, all dated and computed from our own records. Here is why, and why there are no customer counts or revenue on it.
By Dapols ·
The short version: we sell advice about AI tools, and advice is only as good as the work behind it. So we now publish that work, live and dated, at dapols.com/live. Every number is computed from the same records that feed our public pages. None of them is a customer count or a revenue figure.
What is on the page
- AI tools tracked: the tools published in our catalogue, each with its own evidence date.
- Individual price checks: every tool price we have re-verified, summed across our committed price-check files, with the date of the most recent one.
- Price changes caught: tools whose price or plans changed between checks.
- Model releases tracked: releases in our source-cited model list, with the newest date.
- Plans available, the latest benchmark capture and the last time our coding-agent comparison was re-checked.
- A dated ledger of the work: each price check, how many changes it caught and how many plans it touched, and each model release we added.
Each tile links to the page where you can check it: the price index, how we check prices and the model tracker.
The rules we set
- Computed, never typed. No number on the page is written by hand. If the underlying record changes, the page changes.
- A tile disappears rather than showing zero. A dashboard of zeros tells you nothing, and a made-up floor would be a lie.
- Dated. Every figure says when it is from.
- Our support reply time is shown as a target, not a guarantee.
What we deliberately leave out
Customer counts, revenue and testimonials. They are the numbers visitors most want and the easiest to dress up. A page that says "thousands of businesses" invites the question "which thousands?", and we would rather show less than show something you cannot check. When we have figures we can back with a record, we will add them with the same rules.
Why this matters for an AI consultant
Dapols is an AI consultant sold as software. The recommendations in a plan are only useful if the prices and tools behind them are current. Showing how often we check, and what those checks catch, is the most honest evidence we can give that the plan you get reflects the market this week rather than the week we wrote it.
